Outfitting and Guiding is like any other profession, you are going to start out on the bottom and work your way up. Starting out on a job, as a guide, you will probably be on a seasonal basis, as you gain more experience, then you will work into more of a year-round position. This also depends upon who you will be working for and what kind of operation the Outfitter has. Some Outfitting businesses are seasonal and others work at it year-long. If you decide on going into business for yourself after a few years of experience as a guide, then the sky is the limit. You can make your operation anything you want. The same applies for your salary, as you start out, as a guide, you will not receive top wages. New guides starting out will make in the range of $650 to $900 per month plus room and board. Again, this will depend on who you work for and what kind of operation it is. As you gain experience, you will earn more. Some Guides with several years of experience are earning upwards of $2,500 per month plus benefits.

We can assure you that N.W.O.G.C. SCHOOL has been in business for a long time and will provide you with the best possible training available today for this field.

    Administrator's Message

During the course of many years of "OUTFITTER/GUIDE" training, one of the questions I have most often been asked is, "How can I know for sure if this if the right thing for me to do for a career." Most of us felt that we would be guided by Divine Revelation and were disappointed when it was not forthcoming.

As most of us find out sooner or later, the only way to solve this problem is to follow a logical process of elimination and narrow the choices down to two or three, after that, the best choice is the field where you think the odds for happiness and success are most in your favor. That is as close as you can ever come to "knowing for sure." Many people are afraid to make a conscious decision so they wait year after year and allow circumstances to dictate their fate. These people will forever be victims of circumstances.

For those who overcame their fear of making a decision, they soon find themselves launched into a lifestyle that is satisfying and offers security and happiness. If there was one piece of advice I could share, it would be, "Don't be afraid to bet on yourself." Endless deliberation is the most common stumbling block to happiness and success. Opportunity is never lost, it simply passes on to someone else. Nothing happens until you make it happen. Don't be afraid of making a mistake. Mistakes can be identified and corrected if you are moving.

We have provided the key to happiness and success for others, possibly we can do the same for you.
