Pheasant & Quail
 Upland bird hunting for more Missouri or Kansas Bobwhite Quail or Ringneck Pheasant than can be gained by any other means.
Members also have a range of upland bird densities and a choice of upland bird hunting habitat no other organization offers.
Upland bird hunting is more enjoyable for the out-of-state hunter as he can come and hunt where we recommend on his own, run
his own dogs and enjoy that he hunted as pheasant and quail hunting is supposed to be, that is the hunter, his dog and the
game. We do not allow guide services on our properties nor do we supply any dogs. Every hunter has more land than he can
cover each hunting day.
Our pheasant hunting habitat ranges from High Bluestem Prairie to edge habitat on crop fields. Quail hunting is over warm season
grasses, crop fields and edge areas. Having habitat and the entire three month upland bird hunting season to hunt, the members
enjoy practicing their quail or pheasant hunting skills away from others. The members' only problem is choosing amongst an
abundance of places to hunt.
Kansas' predominate upland bird is the pheasant with a higher population densities of birds and a 4 rooster/day and 16 pheasant
possession limit. Quail also overlap most of Kansas' pheasant territory.  Missouri's dominate upland bird is the quail. Missouri
also boasts good pheasant hunting with a 2 pheasant per day limit. In both states the overlapping quail and pheasant range gives
the upland bird hunter the fun of a mixed bag.
The versatile dog owner will enjoy our combined waterfowl and upland bird areas where waterfowl and upland birds both can be
hunted the same day or hunt. All upland bird hunters will want to have a waterfowl stamp. The many farm ponds and lakes of
Missouri and Kansas on upland bird habitat provide many opportunities for puddle duck jumping.
We also offer a longer upland bird hunting season. Missouri opens the first
Saturday and Kansas the second Saturday in November with Kansas
running through to the end of January. The Missouri upland bird hunting
season ends the 15 of January. The long season and temperate climate
allows the upland bird hunter to enjoy pheasant and quail hunting to the
fullest.
