    This morning I hunted the waterhole again. About 10 minutes before it was light enough for me to shoot, a nice 8-point came to get a drink, and stood there at under 15 yards for a few minutes. It was legal shooting light, but it wasn't light enough for me to feel comfortable taking a shot. I also several other does at dawn, then that was all for the morning.

    Thursday P.M.




    I hunted the same spot again this evening, and saw only a buck fawn and a bunch of turkeys. For some reason the deer weren't moving there before dark.

    This hunt takes place in northwest Kansas with Stick & String Outfitters, owner Matt Burrows.

    Equipment
    I'm shooting a Martin Jaguar bow, set at 67 lbs. Arrows are 29-inch Easton 3-60 ACC's, and I'm shooting 160 grain 3-blade Thunderhead broadheads.
