This morning I blanked on deer sightings. It was a nice morning, but no deer were seen. I sat the same spot where I saw the 8-point yesterday morning.

I walked around a bit after done hunting and took some pics of sign in the area. The pictures are below.

    Tuesday P.M.

This evening I hunted a different part of the creekbottom that I hunted last evening. I found a tree for my climber much nearer to where most of the activity was last evening. Well, I wasn't disappointed.

I didn't see anything until about 30 minutes before dark, and then deer started coming out of the woodwork. I took a doe decoy with me this afternoon just to see how the deer might react to it and maybe it would draw a big buck in.

I ended up seeing six different does, a button buck fawn, a small 5-point, a decent 6-point and two more deer right at dark that I could tell were bucks, but not how big. This spot seems to have some good activity. Unfortunately many of the deer were seen right at dusk and it was too dark for good pictures, sorry.

The button buck fawn came up to the decoy walking slightly sideways and with his back hair all bristled up. He wasn't sure what to think about it. The decent 6-point walked right up to the decoy and stuck his nose on it and he, also, wasn't sure what to think about it. He stood around for about 10 minutes smelling and wondering what was the deal. It was all very interesting to watch. I'm going to sit this spot again in the morning.

Check back tomorrow for more action!
