This morning I hunted again where I hunted last evening. I just left my climber on the tree last evening so it would be ready when I got there in the dark this morning. Shortly after shooting light a 6-point came walking by and I got a few pics as it walked on the trail beneath me. A half hour later a different 6-point came by on the same trail and worked a few of the scrapes around my stand. Then at 9:00 a.m. a medium 8-point came trotting by with some destination on his mind and never stopped. I couldn't get any photos of him.

    Buck #2

The collage below of rubs is made up of pictures all taken on this property of different rubs, and most of them were within 100 yards or so of my stand. I think there's bound to be a good buck or two on this place.

    Happy Trails....

I decided after being here for a week to end my hunt and try to come back and try again in a week or 10 days. The big bucks aren't really in the rut yet here. I saw one small buck this week that was half-heartedly chasing a doe, and some scrapes. I think in another week or so the big bucks will hopefully be going full blast.

I hope you've enjoyed this hunt, check back in a few weeks for another one!
