Wednesday A.M.
I hunted my hang-on stand again this morning and had a pretty slow morning. I saw a number of does over the weekend but haven't seen one since Sunday evening. I'm thinking wherever the does are is where the big bucks are. On Monday the farmer let his cows on to graze his new field of triticale, and they seem to have temporarily pushed some of the deer off. Early on this morning I saw the 5-point I saw a few days ago, he walked right under me. A little while later a small 3x3 Mulie buck walked under me also. That was all I saw this morning. After I got done with my morning hunt I walked to a drainage on the property that I hadn't been to yet, not many trees but lots of thick saplings/brush, a good place for a bedding area. Well, I jumped about half a dozen Whitetail does out of there and amazingly I found a tree that is straight enough for me to use my climber on it. So, I'm going to hunt there tomorrow morning and hope that a hot doe leads a big buck right by me. Wednesday P.M. I didn't hunt this evening, I decided to do some scouting with my binoculars. I saw some deer, including a pretty good buck chasing a doe across an open field, but not on the property where I'm hunting. Check in tomorrow for more action!
