azy H Meadows is a family owned business offering excellent archery and shotgun hunts for trophy whitetail in southwestern Iowa. We have under exclusive lease over 8000 acres of prime whitetail habitat, with a mix of corn, beans, CRP, plus stands of heavy oak timber (acorns). We have plenty of stands with funnels to offer the serious hunter a chance to kill a trophy whitetail of a lifetime. For the last ten years Iowa has been the top producer of Boone & Crocket bucks killed. We are here to serve you and make your hunt a pleasant experience and for you to come back year after year. We are more than willing to send references upon request. 95% of past hunters give us this compliment, "Jim and Linda run a great operation, we do not only become friends, we are treated like family".

Non-resident hunters must apply by telephone or on-line to draw a license through the Iowa Lottery Draw System. Application is due the first week in May. The exact dates will be sent to interested hunters as they become available from Iowa Division of Wildlife; usually we know the dates by early May. Hunters born after January 2, 1967 must have a Hunter Safety Certificate.

Shotgun Season - We hunt two (5) day seasons. First hunt begins on first Saturday in December thru Wednesday. Second hunt begins on second Saturday in December thru Wednesday.

Stand hunting is the primary meathod we use for both Archery and Shotgun hunting. Spots for tree stands and pop-up camo blinds are located and marked for you. All hunters provide their own tree-stands or camo pop-up blinds. We are fully insured for both your protection and ours. For this reason we cannot furnish camo-blinds or tree stands. We try and eliminate any liability and conduct our hunting practices to fair chase. We obey all Iowa D.N.R. laws, are ethical hunters, and respect the landowner.

Lodging: We currently use local motels reserved by us prior to the hunt and are included in the price of the hunt. Rooms are modern, clean, TV, showers, etc. Rooms have two double beds with 2 hunters per room..

Meals: NOT INCLUDED IN HUNT PRICE. Everyone buys his or her own meals. Restaurants, fast foods, grocery stores, gas and convenience stores are within walking distance from the motel. Restaurants are open 24 hours.

Hunting rates: All shotgun and archery hunts are $1,800.00 with a deposit of $900.00 to reserve your hunt with the balance due upon arrival in certified funds or cash. Deposits are non-refundable UNLESS you are not successful in drawing for your hunt, then your deposit will be fully refunded or applied to next year's hunt.

Iowa license allows you to harvest a buck or a doe. It is not hard to shoot a buck in the area where we hunt; every hunter could have shot a buck last year, but I would rather you pass up the 12 or 14 inch 8 point for the bigger 8, 10 or 12 pointer that scores 140 to 180.
