South Texas Whitetail Hunting

ocated in the famous brush country of South Texas, the ranch has been under strict management since 1995. The terrain is typical of the South Texas plains and is mainly composed of black brush, mesquite, hog plum, guayacan, and granjeno.

We are a small, high quality operation with emphasis on a top end experience. Whether you come to hunt a trophy class buck, or a management buck, you will be impressed with the abundance and quality of the deer. Years of management have brought us to this point, and we now offer a limited number of hunts each year.

If you are looking for a large, fast paced operation, we are not your outfit. But if it is a quiet, low volume, high quality experience, we are your ranch.

Hunting is usually conducted from comfortable blinds, with some spot and stalk, and rattling of horns when appropriate. Hunts are usually morning and evening, except during the rut when we may hunt all day.

Bass fishing is also available on the ranch as a mid-day diverson or when a hunter tags out. The fishing is done on a catch and release basis.

Lodging & Food

There are very few things in hunting that you can control, but we feel that your lodging and food during your hunt are two of them.

The guests are housed in a comfortable two bedroom - two bath cabin with satellite TV and central air and heat. We feel your comfort is essential and want you to feel at home.

We serve delicious home-style meals and will accommodate any dietary restrictions that you may have.

No alcoholic beverages are served to guests, but they are welcome to bring their own and consume them in moderation at the end of the day's hunt.

The ranch is enrolled in the MLD program with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept., which allows us to hunt from the beginning of October until the end of February.

Hunt Cost

The base cost for a 3-day hunt (guide, food, lodging) is $1,500 plus a Harvest fee if you are successful.

Location

The ranch is located 1 hour south of San Antonio, TX, and is an easy commute from the San Antonio International Airport.
